Account & Data Deletion

Last updated: October 22, 2026

Local-only use does not require a registered login account. Local accounts, cloud sync records, and files you exported are separate copies and need to be handled separately.

Remove a local authenticator entry

Open the account’s edit screen in the app and choose Delete. First confirm that you have disabled two-factor authentication at the destination service or have another working recovery method. Deleting an entry does not turn off two-factor authentication on that service. If cloud sync is active, the change participates in sync.

Remove local copies and exports

Delete unneeded entries and local backup history in the app. For full device removal, use your operating system’s app data removal controls. Secure-storage behavior can vary by platform, so uninstalling alone should not be treated as verified removal of every copy. Separately delete exported files, shared copies, and any device or cloud backups you control.

Request cloud account and data deletion

Email devinworks2026@outlook.com with the subject “Authenticator Data Deletion”. Request deletion of your cloud account/authorization association, vault snapshots, and device records, and include a non-secret vault or device identifier if available. Do not send the full authorization code, secret keys, PIN, or recovery key. We will explain the ownership verification needed and confirm the scope and outcome by email. There is currently no self-service cloud deletion button in the app.

What deletion does and does not remove

Cloud deletion removes the requested active vault and device associations after verification. Minimal security, request-handling, or legally required records may be retained where necessary; support will explain applicable exceptions. Previously exported files and data already downloaded to other devices are not remotely erased. Revoking a device or letting authorization expire is not a cloud deletion request.
